Although 99 percent of our heavy infrastructure manufacturing is done for companies outside of the Twin Ports, Superior Steel has fabricated many projects in the Duluth/Superior area including the pedestrian drawbridge located in Canal Park as well as the railings for the bridge over the Chester Creek at 4th Street and 14 Ave E. in Duluth.
Superior Steel is the world's leader in fabrication of full scale commercial and government fire fighting simulators. They fabricate aircraft such as 757 passenger planes, C-130 military planes and "stand alone" simulators such as wing or engine assemblies.
Maintenance and component replacement of power plant facilities is one of Superior Steels most prolific areas of manufacturing. Our 20 ton overhead crane lifting capacity and 24 foot "under-hook" capabilities offer our clients one piece construction, rather than "some assembly required". The duct-work and breeching products that Superior Steel can manufacture is almost limitless in size.
The in-house staff of registered architects and available engineers will help with machine prototypes and design assistance.
Superior Steel can manufacture and fabricate bag houses from small to large capacity, cyclones, hydro electric and dam replacement and repair components and they are experienced in duct work and breeching.
Superior Steel also offers heavy equipment repair and replacement. Their staff of AWS certified welders are experienced in repair or replacement of graders, buckets, grouser bars, leading edge, bed liners and abrasion resistant place frames and sub frames.
Other equipment repair and replacement such as conveyances, rolls, frames/bases and motor bases are also available through Superior Steel. Air pollution fabrication is another area of expertise.
